Latest Gaborgs...


Been a bit lazy on the ol' blog front recently, but have been mightily busy making new Gaborgs, so let's just get straight down to business...
Yup, she's been in the news, and she is a little bit bonkers, it's Heather Mills!





Complete with false leg, teardrop on her cheek, and 'Boycott the Sun' t-shirt, Heather was a one-off commission for my 2 favourite fans, along with the next Gaborg on the list...

He is one fascinating creature; it's Pete Burns!





He wears Vivienne Westwood-esque tartan dress, diamante belt and mongolian lambs fur shrug.  His lips are plumped to the max, and hair looks as real to life as possible with chunky black roots.  Beautiful.

New! Neu! Nuevo! Gaborgs!


Huzzah! I have finally come up with a few more Gaborgs, for your pleasure!

Firstly, we got Andy Warhol, with incredibly long legs, and dinky camera... apologies for the fairly rubbish picture





Secondly, we have BA Baracas, or Mr T if you please-
my personal favourite, I had the biggest crush on him when I was about 4 years old, I think I was largely attracted to the accessories!





And last but certainly not least, as requested by a dear friend, The King... ELVIS! He wears an all in one leather cat suit, with gold accessories, and golden eagle appliqued on his back.

Exciting LFH&D Celebrity Gaborg Press


So much has happened since my last post- Life has turned slightly monsters crazy!

Ater creating Miss Wino Gaborg, I felt she needed a big haired play mate, thus Russell Gaborg was born...





After snapping them arguing over who had the biggest hair in monster celeb land, it was only a matter of time before a celebrity gossip magazine discovered them, and the critters starred on the pages of Heat in just last week...

Unfortunately, the idiots at Heat magazine got my URL wrong- How hard can it be? But I managed to set up a 'Love From Betty & Dave' MySpace to divert all Heat readers to the correct page, and the crisis was averted!





Orders for Amy & Russell have been creeping in through http://www.lovefromhettyanddave.etsy.com/ and as I am keeping these critters as limited edition, only 25 of each will ever be produced.

So, anyway, Heat had the picture, and next NME were frantically emailing and phoning me, trying to arrange a shoot with the Gaborgs. A courier was sent over, and Amy  zoomed off into the distance on the back of the motorbike, only to appear on the pages of NME a week later.





So while this has all been happening, and I've been sewing like a mad woman, I have been pondering over the next Gaborg creation, and suggestions have been pouring in.

Monster Madness





Having been creating little Gaborg monsters for some time now, and exhibiting (and selling!) the wonderful Putrid Stringfellow at the Lazy Oaf exhibition, 'Monster Burp', I was ready to create something a tiny bit more special.

Hence, Miss Wino Gaborg was born...



This little critter measures approximately 40cm tall.
